Is this page necessary, or should it be a redirect to cannabis? It seems redundant. --User:kwertii We'll need info on why many countries ban marijuana but not alcohol or tobacco.
I would like to merge this page with cannabis since currently much imformation is duplicated. The article will sit at cannabis and we'll have a redirect from marijuana to cannabis. Does that sound like a good idea? AxelBoldt 10:16 Aug 21, 2002 (PDT)
Marijuana refers to both plant cannabis sativa and drug cannabis (drug. Please leave the redirection as it. If you have an issue with this direct it to either Talk:marijuana or Talk:Cannabis. The decision was made to split cannabis in 2, and it is completely wrong to redirect marijuana to only half the article. That is why there is a disambiguation page. --SqueakBox 15:01, Feb 19, 2005 (UTC)
This addition, if it isn't a copyvio, ought to be merged into cannabis (drug). — Trilobite (Talk) 06:14, 26 May 2005 (UTC)
The article does seem now to contain a lot of unnecessary duplication of material from other articles, or material which should be worked into other articles. Laurel Bush 13:56, 26 May 2005 (UTC).

Marijuana not deadly.

The police identify it was a "controlled, dangerous substance", but I don't believe it for a second. I know many stoners such as myself like to believe its not bad, but there are bad sides. It's more of less like mixing alcohol and tobacco in a single herb. Alcohol in which is calms you and makes you feel at ease with yourself, tobacco because its smokable and can leave some sort of residue on your lungs. So you see... It's illegal only because the government isn't making money which is sad.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.150.229.143 (talk) No the government dont make money because it is illegal not the other way around. I completely disagree that it is a mix of tobacco (yuk) and alcohol, the latter a powerful depressant and poison, SqueakBox 17:48, 26 November 2006 (UTC) |

I've sorted through the What links here page of this redirect, and I've found that there are 1,400 links to this redirect. I've fixed about a hundred of them manually, but I'd like some help with this. Thank you. Floaterfluss 17:44, 26 November 2006 (UTC) Excellent! I had cleared 50 or so a couple of weeks back, didnt know there were 1400 , but count on my support, SqueakBox 17:50, 26 November 2006 (UTC) |
Manual of style
[edit]last update 2010 - to be archived

Per the manual of style, the primary topic is linked in the opening sentence on disambig pages; in cases where the primary topic is a redirect, as in this case, that's normally what's linked. All lines should only have one blue link, even the first one. Additionally, cannabis (drug) and cannabis are separate articles, and both are called "marijuana", so both need to be listed.--Cúchullain t/c 13:59, 26 April 2010 (UTC) |

Marijuana is no language at all. It is a propaganda word created by Reafer Madness movie. But all laws in the US must be in English. So marijuana is not a english word that legally defines the plant in this British Monarchy. So all marijuana laws are VOID for not being written in English. Marijuana laws are racial discrimination because no one can read it in English. Cannabis is a arabic word so Cannabis laws are also VOID or not legally enforcable in the US. Hemp is the english word for the cannabis plant. So only hemp can be used to define the plant in english US laws. Trump legalized hemp. 2600:100C:B20B:428B:4096:4DBB:3EA3:10B1 (talk) 17:03, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
