Black Watch tartan
[edit]When the Black Watch and the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (Campbells) were two separate regiments, their tartans were deliberately kept slightly different. The Black Watch (or government) tartan was based on the Campbell tartan, with a couple of narrow black lines added to the lay. I don't know whether that still persists with those units now merged into the Royal Regiment of Scotland - especially as the merger was partly aimed at reducing the number of different kilts and other items of Highland military dress! Religion
[edit]It does not say, here, when and where the chief of clan joined Reformation. Are they member of the Kirk? The Episcopal Church in Scotland? another branch? Are some members of the clan, Roman Catholics? — Preceding unsigned comment added by WPF2008 (talk • contribs) 14:55, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
