Moved
[edit]This page was moved from "Giovanni Amati" to "Giovanna Amati" since that appears to be her name. The text of the page referred to "Giovanna." billlund 03:59, May 18, 2005 (UTC)
Year of birth
[edit]Amati appears to be one of the many drivers who lied about her age - she was born in 1959, not 1962. Some sources still say 1962, but the best sources say 1959. "The best" being the 'Where Are They Now' section of oldracingcars.com for which each driver's history has been torn to pieces looking for the truth, using birth and death records, burial records, you name it. Often the drivers have been contacted personally in order to establish date of birth etc. Bretonbanquet 00:27, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- FORIX and ESPN F1 also say 1959, so I've changed it. DH85868993 (talk) 12:59, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
Automatic assessment
[edit]This article was automatically assessed because at least one article was rated and this bot brought all the other ratings up to at least that level. BetacommandBot 16:25, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Kidnapping section
[edit]Besides having some obvious grammatical issues, the assertion that Ms. Amati was romantically involved with her main kidnapper is denied vehemently by her [1] and others. It could be considered libelous and should be revised. Georgekwatson (talk) 20:21, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- I can’t believe no one has still noticed this eight years later. The section is just generally poor. There are indeed the claims she herself contradicts and the sourcing is also below standard. Some of them are just blogs or forums, with one written by someone who has a clear dislike of her and thus aren’t reliable. Tvx1 23:15, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
