The Shroomery
[edit]I've argued for retention of The Shroomery, but it's unlikely to be kept, partly because of the transparent use of anon IP accounts pretending to be registered Users, and votes from specially-created accounts. That sort of thing really irritates Wikipedians, who don't like to have their intelligence insulted. I seriously suggest that you leave the debate alone, and even strike out the fake votes with an apology; I'm not saying that it will lead to the article being kept, but it will help. - Thanks for the welcome! I don't like most reactions, some are very elitist. I'm sure most people who voted don't have bad intentions, they are just wikinoobs, they didn't try to pretent they were regular users. The Shroomery is a community with more than 30,000 members. They want their online-home in the wikipedia. I can understand that wikipedia does not allow that, but don't say that it's a promotion; it's not www.cocacola.com. I'm sure I can add the church next door, without my article being called a promotion. It's not fair and consequent. Annom 17:50, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
