Welcome to Wikipedia. I don't know how you got away with being here so long with someone greeting you. You seem to have a good grasp of Wikipedia already, so I wouldn't belabour the point. Burgundavia 00:17, Jun 9, 2004 (UTC)

Volcanoes in Ireland
[edit]Hi, just checking as you seem to be a bit of a geological whiz (something very sadly lacking on Wiki!). In an edit to the Great Sugar Loaf you added that "Ireland has no volcanoes"; it certainly has no active ones but according to the refs Croghan Hill is an extinct volcano. Just wondering if you know what the volcanic status of Ireland? :) Sarah777 (talk) 18:29, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Vandalism of B. F. Skinner Page
[edit]Ikari: I made 9 edits of the B. F. Skinner page and then you made 5 edits and now someone has mangled the "Walden Two and Beyond Freedom & Dignity" section of that page. And I noticed that there are lots of vandalism reverts on that page. Do people hate B. F. Skinner that much or is that much vandalism directed at every Wikipedia page? Copyright problem
[edit]Hello. Your recent additions to Hook (music) seem to have copied text directly from the previously published [1] without following the requirements for use of non-free text at the non-free content policy and guideline. If you have permission to use the text from that work, we'll need you to verify this. If you are the copyright holder, you can do so through the processes at WP:DCM. If you are not, you can do so via the recommended approaches at WP:PERMISSION. While Wikipedia certainly appreciates the help, I'm afraid that it can't accept duplicated text unless it is clearly marked and fits into that non-free content policy & guideline. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:55, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
