No personal attacks
[edit]With regards to your edit summary on Luhansk Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. --Kuban Cossack 00:22, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hah-hah-hah!!! Sashok, I can't believe that YOU wrote it! You probably copypasted this paragraph from your own talkpage, or from Ghirla's :) Нападение - лучшая защита? Shame on you, my little Russian-British editor... Ukrained 10:26, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Смех без причины, признак дурачины...I'll just repeat myself that one has to assume that AlexPU is a big boy and needs no babysitting on your behalf. As for the rest, I do not feed trollish entries...--Kuban Cossack 18:30, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sashok, I'm afraid that после обнародования твоей легенды о казачьем поселке со спутниковым Интернетом и безупречным английским ты утратил моральное право писать эту русскую пословицу :). This is my personal opinion of course... Ukrained 21:00, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Annoying picture/window
[edit]Hi AlexPU. Are you aware that some picture or window with it is annoyingly floating over your talkpage? I was unable to click on it and find out something. May be you should try to? Ukrained 21:00, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
P.S. It's not there when I'm editing the page.
- I tried, Bohdane. No result. Have no idea where it linked from this page. Some глюк...AlexPU
The code is hidden in the Frohe Weihnachten section of this talk page. Pull that out and the graphic should disappear. IrishGuy talk 19:17, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

A job for you
[edit]Hi again. Take a look at this. Ukrained 22:25, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
And we have the worst problem of this kind on Kiev. The intro there is larger than any section:))). I think we should discuss this with normal editors (I mean not with the Russian Group which dominates working on that page). Ukrained 22:32, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I'll take a look. When finished with usual reverting of our muscovian "friends". BTW I'm afraid they would spoil our reconstruction attempts on Kiev just to make a point. But let's try anyway.AlexPU

Blocked
[edit]I've blocked you for 1 week per this edit which is a clear personal attack. You've been blocked for this sort of thing before and at this point, you really should know better.--Isotope23 21:13, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- So, they "did" you again, холоднокровний ти наш... You're disappointing me Alex. Well, probably there's a good side in this problem: I hope WP helps you to drain your real-life emotions so that you manage your anger while at work. OK, I'll take care of the articles you warned me about. But you should've been thinking about them, and about 3RR, when you were talking (?!) to Irpen... Wishes, Ukrained 10:03, 28 February 2007 (UTC).
- AlexPU, I joined your attempts as you asked [1]. Next time please concentrate on clicking the "Undo" link instead of unleashing your emotions. Ukrained 11:08, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Unblock demanded
[edit]AlexPU (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
1. No Wikirules broken by me. In the diff provided I participated in discussion of a user's national identity and political opinions. The discussion wasn't started by me (I've been provoked). 2. My block would let other users to restore non-consensus POV-versions of several articles.AlexPU 06:05, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Calling someone an active cunning traitor, as you do here, is a clear personal attack prohibited by WP:NPA. — Yamla 15:17, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Asking for help
[edit]Hi tezka. Came here to ask your Wikidesign help with this [2]. Especially regarding the fact that you've been changing that very Politics template recently. Thanks in advance. Oh, and great job with all those airports! Now everyone can see we ARE a great aviation country. Cheers,AlexPU 11:32, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, what specifically do you need help with? I think {{Ukraine topics}} would be more appropriate since that article is about local, not central, government. Oh and I beg you, PLEASE don't get yourself into more trouble with personal attacks, trust me, it's not worth it. — Alex (T|C|E) 06:09, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Or whatever that template was called anyway. — Alex (T|C|E) 06:10, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- There, I got the name right now. — Alex (T|C|E) 06:14, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- OK, Alex forget about that "Politics of Ukraine". Since you mentioned {{Ukraine topics}}, I have at least one correction for it. Are you willing to discuss and work there to improve?AlexPU 16:31, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I haven't been too active on Wikipedia because of personal problems, but I can help out as much as possible. — Alex (T|C|E) 03:41, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Alex, if you look at that navigation table ({{Ukraine topics}}), you can find some disappointing misplacements. Row 5, Col. 1 reads "Police forces" but links to Military of Ukraine :))). Col. 2 of the same row includes links to:
- "Chief directorate of intelligence of the Ministry of Defence"
- "Foreign Intelligence Service"
- "Ukrainian Army"
- "Ukrainian Air Force"
- "Ukrainian Navy"
- "Sea Guard",
none of which are "police forces" :) So keeping this table, visible for hundreds of users, is shameful don't you think so?
Any chance you or anyone else have it fixed? I know that DDima created the table, but he's unlikely to read my talk. And he also seems to be a "friend of Irpen".AlexPU 10:27, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
What's your take on this?
[edit]Hey, since you're a Ukrainian, I'd be interested to know your opinion about this: [3]. I think they overreacted a bit. — Alex (T|C|E) 00:25, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hey. I took a look there, but didn't get much cause all of you failed to provide diffs or links :). My two cents anyway:
- Serial changing of typical articles may pose a serious problem. Here in English Wikipedia we're systematically getting into this. Ironically, such problems are usually non-political. But they are problems anyway. See my quarrels with Tobias Conradi and Tufkaa - foreign guys with their own original understanding of Ukrainian subdivisions :). Unfortunately, Irpen bad-mouthed me when I reprimanded Tufkaa for his hundreds of erroneus edits.
- Involving Irpen in relations inside Ukrainian Wikipedia is a serious, near-fatal mistake. Alex, NEVER ask Irpen for help or mediation unless you're looking for intrigues and trolling.AlexPU 15:12, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- He did help me out on there, though... — Alex (T|C|E) 11:05, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- On helpful Irpen: who do you think monitors each my edit and reports me (through E-mail) every time I get blocked :)?AlexPU 10:33, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. Akhristov, forgot to make myself clear: I'm not really willing to edit Ukrainian-language Wikipedia. Sorry if I disappointed you in your need of direct help. Anyway, contact feely here.AlexPU 16:18, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- No problem, I'll get it settled there later. Hey, could you do me a favor though, and research the new Ukrainian passport? I'm not able to find much on it. — Alex (T|C|E) 03:39, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Oligarch Tymoshenko and other politics-related articles
[edit]Alex, welcome back. I hope you won't get yourself blocked again.
Back to our business, have you seen that "Oligarchs..." tag at the bottom of Yuliya Tymoshenko? What's your opinion as a politics scholar? I mean she IS influencing society and politics like oligarchs do. But I can't say she is a businesswoman now (at least publicly). Can we categorize former tycoon as an actual "oligarch"? By the way, many other UA-politics articles need your expert corrections and updates. For instance, Tomenko is Vice Speaker now. Cheers, Ukrained 20:14, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. She is a pure politician now. "Oligarchs" usually act in other ways in politics. Their media talk and fight on their behalf while they are very calm and polite themselves in public, which is not Yulka's case. I think we can delete her and Viktor Medvedchuk from there. As far as I know, Hryhoriy Surkis is the oligarch for Medvedchuk :) And I'm not sure if Anatoly Chubais is formally an oligarch.AlexPU 10:58, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's too late: the template is already deleted after a short and lazy discussion [4] which I nevertherless agree with.AlexPU 15:23, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
OK. And you're quite right: Medvedchuk is simply a lobbist and intrigant with relatively minor business interests. With "ex-" suffix I hope :). Cheers. Ukrained 12:39, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]I've blocked you for this and this. You have resumed making personal attacks almost immediately after coming off of your one-week block, and given your long history of making personal attacks, the length of this one is two weeks. I think it's time that you seriously reconsider your methods of how you go about discussions. Commenting on other users in this manner seems to only bring you trouble, and I would like to remind you that you should only be discussing article content, nothing more. Khoikhoi 01:59, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know about how fair the block was, but... You realize AlexPU can edit his talk page even though he's blocked, so this block is fairly pointless, right? Just thought I should point it out. — Alex (T|C|E) 11:07, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
AlexPU, that very admin (a friend of Irpen of course) has blocked me as well. Fortunately, I was off-line that day :). Now, you should be even more cautious than you've been last months. If you intend to call Irpen a troll, do it via E-mail. And we all must do our best to block Mr.Khoikhoi from his adminship (detailed plan will be presented via E-mail). Pryvit, Ukrained 13:30, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, if they blocked even you Bohdan, than I'm not even angry :)
- BTW, the second diff supplied by that Khoi shows nothing. May be we could hook him using this detail? I'll try to investigate that diff now.
- Alex, a brilliant idea of yours! I'm going to reorganize my pages so that important messages are visible at best.AlexPU 08:30, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- BTW, those "good people" also blocked me from archiving my talk, which is I guess against the rules. I was hoping to do at least some maintenance of my userspace while blocked :( Another reason for punishing that Khoi ... Bohdan, is there a way to let me do something with my PRIVATE USERSPACE???? AlexPU 10:07, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
No, Alex, you wasn't blocked from your space "also", it's simply a technicality of your block, we can do nothing about this. Don't worry about it, especially regarding your soon release. Well, maintaining talk is a good idea, I guess I'll do the same. As for Mr.Khoikhoi, I've already started my DR procedure against him. Details by mail. By the way, I'm going to change my address to get more possibilities (unavailable at scrudge "Bigmir" service). So, if you write me - use WP interface. Cheers, Ukrained 10:20, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Could you give me a piece of advice?
[edit]AlexPU, User:Vlad_fedorov follows all my edits on Russian political topics (during last several months!) and reverts well-sourced texts. He made my life in Wikipedia miserable. User:Colchicum filed an RFC about his behavior. That did not help. Please see: Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Vlad_fedorov and Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_comment/Vlad_fedorov#New_episodes_of_wikistalking_by_Vlad. You can simply trace my edits and Vlad's edits to see.
My last negotiation attempts can be found here: Talk:Nikolai_Koltsov (see (Nature(journal)), Talk:Persecution_of_political_bloggers#Vlad.27s_claims, Talk:Active_measures#We_must_find_a_compromise. I believe that Vlad's actions after these explanations and attempted negotiations constitute clear vandalism. What do you think? Biophys 15:13, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'll try, although I may be a poor advisor. I'll do my best just let me collect my thoughts in a kind of text. ДержисьAlexPU 15:24, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Прапор військово-морських сил України
[edit]I share your view about what SHOULD be the usual, daily Ukrainian Navy Flag, at least to my mind… But, actually, as I've been told by ВМСУ officers in Sevastopol' and onboard the Херсонес, and as it have been confirmed to me last night, the one wearing the National Flag is only for Holidays and some special occasions. The USUAL FLAG is the outlined Sea Blue Cross. That is also what says Військово - морська атрибутика України]. Tell me if you're OK for the changes. Бувай! Korenyuk 14:13, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. You convinced me pretty well. Thanks! I'll respond on Navy talk with more details in an hour. BTW, please check your E-mail. Pryvit, AlexPU 06:54, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Personal attacks (again)
[edit]Regarding this [5], if I see any more divisive comments (especially directed towards other users' ethnicities) from you, you will be blocked for a much longer period. You've been warned before about this many times. Please stop. Khoikhoi 06:13, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, come on... I surely disagree. "Russian trolls" in your diff are not trolls because they're Russians, but simply because they push Russian nationalistic POV. No "division" attempts, no "ethnicity", only fact related to the particular page. In other words, you're exaggerating my meaning. You can find hundreds of similar comments only this day. Go and block all those people :)
- As for blocking me - I don't care. If you want to - what can I do about? I keep my usual fighting for neutrality and I'm aware it takes some price. If your admin decisions are above review and rules here, what can I do?AlexPU 06:27, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Alex, it doens't matter why they're "Russian trolls", what's important is that it's considered a personal attack to call any legitimate user a troll. Khoikhoi 07:57, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and who defines which user is legitimate? You do, Mr.Khoilhoi? Unilaterally? Please don't touch him as long as you don't touch his opponents. Ukrained 19:47, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Wikiproject Ukraine
[edit]Alex, for your information, you're marked as "inactive" editor of Ukraine-related articles. What are you going to do about it? Ukrained 19:47, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- This was because WikiProject Ukrainian subdivisions was acquired by WikiProject Ukraine, and Alex was a member of the former, so he became a default member of WP Ukraine. However, he was marked as inactive on WP Ukrainian subdivisions, so therefore he's still marked inactive until he decides to rejoin. — Alex(T|C|E) 00:01, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Russian language in Ukraine
[edit]Hi, instead of revert warring on Russian language in Ukraine, why don't you join the discussion at the article's talk page ? Cheers, --Lysytalk 21:29, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- Generally, your input is needed not only there, but also at Anti-Russian sentiment (I think we missed something there) and Russians in Ukraine. All three are POV-pushing pages (as for now) created and maintained by our little "friend". In particular, you should say your politologist word about some UA "institutes" referenced in Anti-Russian sentiment. Wishes, Ukrained 13:24, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Suspicious edit
[edit]Alex, please check this edit which looks like POV-pushing to me. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with the Zakarpattia history, and both flags seem equally unfamiliar to me :(. Are you an expert? Or some friends of you? Cheers, Ukrained 19:39, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Alex, one of your top-important writings was suggested to be split. Please return from your Wikibreak and pay attention. Especially regarding the fact that you joined a police Wikiproject. Ukrained 19:03, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks man, I'll talk to them but counting on your support as well.AlexPU 15:14, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Alex, I finished this article (with common knowledge and Google study) after you left it barely referenced. Now I suggested it to WP:DYK. But there is still enough space for improvement. E.g., apply your politologist expertise to the issues of his Rada career, 1991 holoduvannya and Ukrainian Helsinki Union - the two latter are subjects much more known than Chemerys himself. Holoduvannya may be a link to develop Kyrylenko (I heard he's going to be Number 1 in a list of Lubi Druzi?) Pryvit, Ukrained 16:55, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

I have set up a request to move the page Kiev to Kyiv.

Thank you

Threat of the Dnieper reservoirs real:(
[edit]AlexPU, I’m not sure whether you’re going to come back or if you would even read this, but anyway.
I came across the new info on one of your worthy articles. The nuclear dump which you’ve been taking for Dnipropetrovsk is actually the Придніпровський хімічний завод in the neighboring Dniprodzerzhynsk. A mission by IAEA is evaluating it right these days, in order to solicit international aid. That’s all for now, but you can develop this tip into a reference for your section. AfD nomination of Lysa Hora (folklore)
[edit]I have nominated Lysa Hora (folklore), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lysa Hora (folklore). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. DreamGuy (talk) 20:22, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of E. O. Paton Electric Welding Institute
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on E. O. Paton Electric Welding Institute requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Wizard191 (talk) 17:24, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of SCM Holdings
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on SCM Holdings, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. §everal⇒|Times 16:29, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
