Reliable sources seem to maintain that the Napoleonic Wars were more deadly. If you find sources that say contrary, you should add them here and we could discuss their merits. ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:40, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No sources of the Napoleonic wars show that the death toll surpasses the thirty years war. Napoleonic wars claimed no less than 3.5 million to possibly as high as 6.5 million. It even states these figures on this article. The Thirty Years War claimed around 4.5 million to 8 million best estimates while the highest estimate is 12 million. 98.17.235.223 (talk) 05:35, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pbritti I could not find any sources that shows Napoleon wars death toll higher than the Thirty Years War. Napoleon Wars claimed around 3,500,000-6,500,000 deaths, while the Thirty Years War claimed 4,500,000-8,000,000 deaths. TaipingRebellion1850 (talk) 20:15, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
During the early stages of the napoleonic wars, Romania at the time known as Wallachia, Transylvania, Moldova, were all ruled by someone, Transylvania: Austria, Wallachia: Ottoman Empire, Moldova: Russian Empire, Transylvania along side Croatia were soldiers for Austria known as Austrian Grenzers, Transylvanian uniforms oftenly had lime green cuffs and collars, Wallachia on the other hand helped the Ottomans fight the French Empire but we didn't see much action from Wallachia in the Napoleonic Wars, Moldova fighting for the Russian Empire which was a big thing for Romania since Russia and Romania have been trying to claim Moldova for centuries, after the Napoleonic Wars Romania would cease to be normal until 1866 during the Russo-Turkish War, Romanian Uniforms looked alot like Hesse-Darmstadt uniforms but Wallachian uniforms were normal Wallachian uniforms which was leather, other hand Transylvania having Austrian Grenzer uniforms, Romanian Enemy: French Empire
There's too many images in the infobox, the images are too small to be meaningful (stitched together into a single image that's inconvenient to access), and the use of the imagemap isn't great I think. The imagemap prevents you from clicking each image to zoom in. The articles for each battle are already accessible in the captions. "The Austrians began the war by invading Bavaria on 8 September 1805 with an army of about 70,000 under Karl Mack von Leiberich, and the French army marched out from Boulogne in late July 1805 to confront them."
This passage suggests a direct causal link between the incursion into Bavaria in September and the movement of troops from Boulogne in July. This surely is either mistaken or misleading. Kevin McInerney (talk) 11:22, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The second sentence puts the blame for the Napoleonic wars on France, "The wars originated in political forces arising from the French Revolution". That would be the English point of view. In fact the term 'Napoleonic wars' already is biased. Still today people are taught the English propaganda that Napoleon was small, which he was not. Then in the next paragraph the article states "The first stage of the war broke out when Britain declared war on France on 18 May 1803, alongside the Third Coalition". Without background information this implies England is actually to blame.
