In December 2022, taking a stand together against the increasing instances of racism and antisemitism in the United States, Sharpton, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Vista Equity Partners CEO and Carnegie Hall Chairman Robert F. Smith, Reverend Conrad Tillard, World Values Network founder and CEO Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, and Elisha Wiesel joined to host 15 Days of Light, celebrating Hanukkah and Kwanzaa in a unifying holiday ceremony at Carnegie Hall.[1][2] Sharpton said: "There is never a time more needed than now for Blacks and Jews to remember the struggle that we’ve gone through. You can’t fight for anybody if you don’t fight for everybody. I cannot fight for Black rights if I don’t fight for Jewish rights ... because then it becomes a matter self-aggrandizement rather than fighting for humanity. It’s easy for Blacks to stand up for racism. It’s easy for Jews to stand up to antisemitism. But if you want to really be a leader, you got to speak as a Black against antisemitism and antisemites, and you got to speak as a Jew against racism."[3][4]2603:7000:2143:8500:4D2B:CF6F:5ADD:13C8 (talk) 01:37, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Thanks. First - you could use Hanukkah and Kwanzaa as main articles. Second - it is not true that all subsections here have main articles. Look at the subsections Dunbar Village, Reclaim the Dream commemorative march, Barack Obama, and Ministers March for Justice. Not one of them have "Main article: __" beneath their subtitle. And third - there is no wp policy or MOS requirement that subsections have "Main Article: __" below them. 2603:7000:2143:8500:F4DE:12DD:27E7:1B45 (talk) 02:20, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
He has never held office, and hasn't run for any office in almost twenty years, and has even suggested his reasons for running may not have been to actually gain office. JohndanR (talk) 18:30, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Add this to early life:
Al Sharpton was ordained at 10 years old by a Pentecostal church. Al Sharpton did not attend Seminary for pastoral training and he does not pastor a church, nor has he pastored a church in his entire career.
