[edit]Anon,
Could you please explain the changes that you made to the Bebe Buell article? You removed quite a lot of information; please let me know if you have reason to believe it was inaccurate. Thanks! — Catherine\talk 23:05, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
French descent
[edit]Does anyone have a good source for that category? Mad Jack O'Lantern 21:30, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
FRENCH DESCENT
[edit]Check her daughter, Liv Tyler's bio. it says she is french on her mother's side.
- You cannot use one Wikipedia article to cite another. Nevertheless, she definitely is of French decent. --Yamla 04:07, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- How do we know this? I honestly think someone assumed she was "of French descent" because of her last name. I haven't seen anything half-way reliable. Mad Jack O'Lantern 04:29, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- Well, according to another user, her bio. states her paternal ancestry is German, and her maternal ancestry is English. Someone really needs to get their hands on that book, if possible. Michael 08:59, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Many Germans have French surnames especially if they came from the Alsace region (now part of France but ethnically many of the people are German and at various periods in historyjeanne (talk) 08:11, 8 April 2008 (UTC) had been part of Germany;one need only study the history of the Franco-Prussion War). I always assumed Bebe Buell to be of at least partial French descent based on her surname.jeanne (talk) 08:09, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
This article shows she was born in Virginia and also list her in the category "People from New York City". On a recent Playboy feature which showed a different Playboy model from each of the 50 states, Maine was represented by Bebe. Is there any reliable connection between Bebe and Maine, or did Playboy just make that up because they don't really have any models from Maine? Not all the models were born in the state they represented in the pictorial: for instance, Tiffany Fallon, who was born in Florida and held the Miss Georgia USA title, was not chosen to represent either of these states, but Tennessee, where she currently lives with her husband Joe Don Rooney, the country music star. There are several other playmates from Tennessee, so it wasn't a matter of necessity. Does anybody know if Bebe has any significant affiliation with Maine? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.67.39.120 (talk) 17:31, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- She has lived in Maine for decades, I believe since the 1980s, and as of 2012 was still living there. This isn't exactly obscure information by the way, a simple Google search would turn it up, plus it's in her autobiography. TheBlinkster (talk) 03:04, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
Edits to watch for
[edit]I've noticed in the edit history that Bebe Buell and her publicist are both editing this article. While some of them are useful, some seem to be harmful, illustrating exactly why subjects are advised against editing articles on themselves (see this, for example - I have replaced the removed content for now). Surely a publicist editing is the same as the subject, no? Anyway, watch for edits from domains like 72.227.* and 72.244.*, although the two people mentioned seem to have the decency to point out who it is that's making the edits. I hope they keep doing so. -- drrngrvy tlk @ 15:01, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Gavin Rossdale
[edit]Considrering (#5) it seems she had a child with Gavin Rossdale, shouldn't this be mentioned somewhere? -68.201.26.139 22:30, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- July 29, 2007-*Bebe Buell did NOT have a child with Gavin Rossdale. That was a mistake printed in some blog format. The child in question is Daisy Lowe who's mother is Pearl Lowe. Daisy is 18 and a model. The ONLY child Bebe Buell has is Liv Tyler. I am certain of all these facts.
Cleanup
[edit]This article is in serious need of a cleanup. I received email from Ms. Buell today indicating that her descent, as listed on this page, is just wrong. She has no French or Jewish decent at all, for example. I've cleaned that up but I'm going to start removing any uncited additions to this page as per WP:BLP and also hope to pick up the book co-written by Ms. Buell in the hopes of cleaning up this article. There's no reason we can't get this to at least Good Article status but there's a lot of work at the moment. --Yamla 15:51, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Yamla, the article is in great shape now- as of this evening. Leaving it open for vandals and the usual misinformed nutters is not a good idea. The fixes have been noted- Bebe is German and English NOT Jewish or French! As for her book, you can search inside the book by doing a simple search of Bebe Buell in "books" at www.amazon.com. It brings you directly to "Rebel Heart". Every page in the book is available for viewing. There are two websites that have TRUE facts as well. www.bebe-buell.com www.lovelylivtyler.com In Bebe's fansite there is a very informed, indepth bio on the main page. Not to mention hundreds of photos. It really isn't that hard to clear this up. I have direct access to the facts too may I add. User:Aerocrew =Shouldn't this exquisitely beautiful lady be included in the section on Groupies. That section has a paucity of names and needs to be expanded.jeanne (talk) 13:32, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Date of Bebe's divorce from Todd Rundgren?
[edit]Does anyone have any reliable info on just when Buell and Todd Rundgren finally settled their divorce, and during what time they lived together? I've seen wildly different dates of their divorce and final separation, all over the eighties. When I first heard Rundgren's Nearly Human album (1989) it struck me as a record about loss, anger, self-doubt and recovery, and a very good one. Years later I read an interview with Liv Tyler and found out about her being Todd's stepdaughter and the relationship with Buell. The guy who did the interview implied that Buell and TR had split in the late eighties and Tyler had followed Buell, which fit my perception of Nearly Human, but I don't think Liv Tyler actually said anything precise about the date when she found out that Steven Tyler was her dad, or when TR and BB had split.
Bebe's personal website (www.bebebuell.org) has a bio that seems to imply she and Liv were living on-off with Todd through the eighties but gives no answer about when this ended (except a hint about 1991, which I'm sure is too late and not correct). Anyone knowing? /Strausszek (talk) 19:18, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Todd and Bebe separated short after Liv was born, in 1978, although they remained friends and Todd help Bebe rise Liv in the 1970s and 1980s, 'till Liv found out on the late 1980s that Steven Tyler was real father.
However, I'm reading the book, so when I get this thing I'll let you know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.32.117.89 (talk) 15:53, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- All of this is covered in her book, but just noting that Buell and Rundgren were never married in the legal sense of the word so there was no "divorce". They just had a longterm unmarried relationship. TheBlinkster (talk) 03:06, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
Add Facts
[edit]You can add more stuff of her amazing life. For example, in 1972 aged 18 she went to NY when Eileen Ford contracted her. Due to her Playboy centerfold she was hired from the Ford model Agency but had a successful modeling career in Europe.
In the 1990s she was Liv Tyler's manager when she started ther both modeling and acting career. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.61.3.59 (talk) 10:06, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
Personal Life
[edit]Where this info "as a sixteen year old model, she started dating Barry Cowsill of The Cowsills and David Cassidy" comes from? There is any note to cite that. Then you said she lived with Rundgren from 1972 to 1978 but then you said they "finally split on 1989". This last fact is false. In the 1980s Rundgren was married to Karen Darvin, who in the 1970s dated Bruce Springsteen. Get your facts from who? ~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.32.117.89 (talk) 07:30, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Personal details in the infobox
[edit]I'm a little surprised to see the 'Personal details' data in the infobox. Not sure if it should be there at all, but in any case does it need qualifying in any way - when do they relate to, and do they need citations? JezGrove (talk) 19:48, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
