Note - I have no idea where Clarence, England is - but the 'What links here' results for Clarence tells me that it exists! --Chuq 02:07, 22 Apr 2004 (UTC)

There is or was a Clarence in Morea, Greece (The Peloponnese); the Duke of Clarence is named after an English knight who was duke there in the time of the crusades. --O DM (talk) 20:12, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References have been found showing that Clarence in England is the titular name for Clare, a market town in Suffolk. The original Duke of Clarence owned the town Clare when the title was bestowed upon him in the 14th century. It is thought to be a possible title Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may take once married.
