Is this term only used in Canada? What is it called in the US? Adam Bishop 19:13, 24 Nov 2004 (UTC)

This region would be described as Eastern Deciduous forest in the US. The biome classification scheme used for Wikipedia breaks up that region into several entries in the section Temperate_broadleaf_and_mixed_forests#Nearctic_ecozone. --Big_Iron 12:43, 25 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Merge with Carolinian Forest?

It seems to me that this article is in some ways redundant with the article Carolinian forest. This is a better article and avoids anything that may be interpreted as PoV. However, the other article does include a few points that are pertinent to any discussion of Carolinian areas and is more general, in that it includes both Canada and the US.

Perhaps a single article with two sections identifying differences between and uniqueness of the two countries' forests (e.g. extensive in US, small in Canada).
