Odd
[edit]It's odd that German points from here to another disambiguation page, altho German itself has many meanings it's a bit cumbersome this way. THoughts? --Sketchee 23:30, Dec 17, 2004 (UTC)
Mentioned?
[edit]Shouldn't it be mentioned that one can derive Deutsch from shifting an Old English form of Theod ala the second consonant shift?
- not on the disambiguation page. disambiguation pages should help people in finding the article they were looking for fast. not to learn more. see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages). The ethymology could be in the German language article (perhaps it already is?). --Lenthe 10:03, 17 July 2005 (UTC)
The dab page "Deutsche" is merely a list of pages that begins with that term, not a list of pages that "Deutsche" alone may refer to. <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 17:27, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, but those two terms are not referring to the same meaning, but are of course related. -- ZH8000 (talk) 10:59, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- Remark, and, if at all, then it should also include Deutscher (disambiguation), of course. -- ZH8000 (talk) 11:22, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- Not really. Both lists are of considerable length and the boundary between them is clear enough. I don't think anything with a proper name called "Deutsch" can also be correctly referred to as "Deutsche" due to grammatical changes. (On the other hand, "Deutsche", "Deutscher" and "Deutschen" may be interchangeable due to the grammatical position of the proper noun.) Deryck C. 12:04, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
