Name articles
[edit]There is a proposal to create a precedent that names are not encyclopedic. Articles about names regularly show up on various deletion pages and are summarily deleted. Perhaps - since you've been working on an article about a name, you hold a different opinion that you'd like to express. Jiang Qing should not be listed here
[edit]Actually Jiang Qing didn't have surname Jiang. Her name is given by herself, so it is not proper to list her under Jiang (江) section. Can I remove her name? --Wei Jiang 01:58, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
Jiang Qing comes from a line of the Tang Poem "Jiang Qing Yue Jin Ren", which means "The Moon is clearer to humans when the Yangtse River is clear". Here, "Jiang Qing" means the "Yangtse Clear", a beautiful name for an actress in the early half of the 20th century.
Jiang Qing's real name is Li Jin, and Mao Zedong composed at least two poems for "Comrade Li Jin". He also composed two poems for his first wife Yang Kaihui, but composed none for his middle wife--He Zizhen. From this, we can confer that Mao only loved his two wives--Yang and Li.
